Will Grayson, Will Grayson – John Green & David Levithan (book review 1)

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan (published on April of 2010) is a novel about Will Grayson 1, Will Grayson 2, Tiny Cooper, Maura, Isaac, and Jane Turner. Will 1 has 2 rules for his high school life. 1. Don’t care too much and 2. Shut up. Will 2 doesn’t have a huge part in the story but has a very important role. Tiny is, ironically, very big. (and very gay) He’s your typical theartre kid. Maura is found pretty annoying by Will Grayson 1 since she’s constantly trying to flirt with him but Will doesn’t realize. Lastly, Jane has more favourite bands than boys Tiny loves. She likes bands like Neutral Milk Hotel and Dead Milkman.

These two boys (Will Grayson 1 and Isaac) fall in love online but can’t meet each other since one lives in chicago and one in Ohio… until one day, Isaac tells Will 1 to meet him in downtown Chicago at a place called ‘Frenchy’s’.

Personally, I feel that the book was okay. It wasn’t outstanding and it wasn’t horrible.
The beginning of the book started out fine but it failed to keep me interested and intrigued as it started to come to an end. Despite that, the book was fairly interesting. The authors did a good job.
